Heartfelt Reminder: This bracelet has a very special meaning behind it. My mom was dying of cancer in March of 2015.  She came to Chicago for one final trip.  She was very weak but determined to come and see us one last time.  When she was visiting, a dear friend of mine came over and gifted my mom and I matching bracelets that had ‘live what you love’ engraved on them.  I can’t explain it, but those four words resonated with me so deeply and were the beginnings of the entire House of Shan collection.

The Why: This is my version of the bracelet we were gifted that day. Handmade from brass by the workshop at Pamoja Tunaweza Boys and Girls Club in Tanzania. I want to thank my incredible friend/designer Abby Alley for all her guidance and allowing me to work with the incredible artisans she uses for her beautiful jewelry collection. Every piece is ethically made.
