We are proud to support the Rett Syndrome Research Trust for the third year in a row! Rett Syndrome is a severe neurological disorder that afflicts 350,000 girls and women around the world. Rett is caused by a random mutation on a single gene. Symptoms have been described as like having autism, Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and anxiety disorder all at once. Research on Rett is extremely promising. Scientific approaches such as gene replacement offer the possibility of a profound reversal of symptoms. Funding is urgently needed to continue this exciting momentum.
